No cookies or adverts

The website sets no cookies and shows no adverts. Games run on your device and don’t send scores or anything about you to us. Sounds play only if you turn them on. No children’s information is ever asked for.

What we count

We count page visits with Cloudflare, our web host, in a way that uses no cookies and doesn’t store your IP address.

When you download a free pack or tap a buy link, we add one to a counter. For each click we keep only:

• which link it was (for example “Christmas pack” or “buy Book 1”)
• where the link was shared, if the link says so (for example a group’s own link, or “qr-pack” for the QR code on a printed pack)
• the country, worked out by our web host from the connection
• the date

We don’t store IP addresses, device or browser details, or cookies, so none of this can tell us who you are. We use the counts to see which groups and pages the packs are popular in, and to tell a group’s admin how many of their members downloaded their edition.

Emails (only if you ask for them)

The packs don’t need an email address. If a grown-up does sign up on the site (to have a pack emailed to print later, for Wee Advent, or to hear when a new book is out), the email address and first name (if given) are stored with our email provider, Kit, and we use them to send what you asked for.

The “email me the pack to print later” form sends the pack and nothing else, unless you tick its box asking for the next free pack and Wee Advent. That box starts unticked. The Wee Advent and “tell me when it’s out” forms say what you’ll get next to their tickbox, and you have to tick it before you can sign up.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. To have your details deleted, email hello@twobestmates.com. We never sell or share them.

The Colouring Wall

If you send us a photo of a finished colouring page, we ask before sharing it, and we only share the page itself on our Colouring Wall on Facebook and Instagram. We crop out anything else, cover any name written on the page and remove the photo’s hidden details (like location) before it goes up. We never share a photo that shows a child, and we never ask for a child’s name, age, school or town. Ask us any time and we’ll take it down and delete our copy.

If we’ve contacted you about our free pack

We offer the free pack to parents’ groups, what’s-on pages and similar organisations, and only where a group’s own rules or published contact details invite it. To do that we keep a short record of each group or organisation: its name and web address, its published rules, the public names of its admins, the contact details it publishes itself, and our messages and replies. We never keep member lists, anyone’s private details, screenshots of members’ posts or anything about children.

We do this under “legitimate interests” (UK GDPR): telling parents’ groups about a free printable and our books. We send one message and at most one follow-up. We delete a record 12 months after our last contact.

Don’t want to hear from us? Reply “no thanks”, or email hello@twobestmates.com, and we’ll delete your details and won’t contact you again. We keep only a minimal “do not contact” note (a name or address and the date) so that we don’t. You can also ask what we hold about you, and we’ll reply within a month.

Buying the books

Buy links take you to Amazon, which has its own privacy policy.

Everything else

Fonts, pictures and downloads come from this website. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information to deliver the pages. Downloaded packs stay on your device until you remove them.
